Sleep Fact #33: The Victorian Era

Diaries from the pre-electric-light-globe Victorian era show adults slept nine to 10 hours a night with periods of rest changing with the seasons in line with sunrise and sunsets.

For those of us who are simple-folk, I googled "Electric-Light-Globe" and as I'm sure we all could have guessed, but weren't quite sure, that's just a fancy way of saying the light bulb.

Apparently light-bulb was too easy to say. Scientists, yeesch ...
