Friday Link Fiesta

Some links from around the world wide web to get you through your Friday.

First, if you are a male with no rhythm, such as myself, or know someone who is a male with no rhythm, such almost all of my friends, I strongly recommend this hilarious 5 minute emergency guide to dancing for men.

Although if you're really just looking for a good chuckle that has little to no educational value be sure to watch Adam Ferrara's bit on his girlfriend moving in and don't forget this video of a parrot rocking out to the Backstreet Boys.

If comedy isn't you're thing, check out this trailer for Sci-Fi's new "dark" version of the Wizard Oz. I'll admit, I'm intrigued!

I'm a firm believer that animals are way smarter than we give them credit for, this article about a dog surviving a house fire is certainly an excellent example of that.

In other news, if you're a Disney fan such as myself I'd check out this sad piece of history. Apparently Mr. Walt Disney stole the idea for Mickey Mouse.

Check out "Jessica's Story"

Hi Everyone, I'd like to share with you a story that was recently posted on the Prescription Access Litigation (PAL) ( blog ) entitled "Jessica's Story."

Jessica is 26 years old, and struggling to afford her prescription for Provigil (As I'm sure many folks on this forum do!).

There is no generic version of Provigil available so Jessica contacted Cephalon’s patient assistance program, for help. What they suggested will shock you: "Cephalon told me that because I had some form of insurance I didn’t qualify for any assistance, regardless of how high my co-payment is or my financial situation. They told me that if I was uninsured they would pay up to $500 per month (which is the retail cost of a month supply for me). They actually suggested I drop my insurance plan."

Read Jessica's entire story, and learn what you can do here.

All too often Pharmaceutical companies put profits ahead of the needs of consumers. Cephalon has prevented a cheaper generic version of Provigil from coming on the market by paying off generic drug companies to the tune of $136 million. This is a classic example of a case where drug company greed has prevented patients from getting the medicines they need at a price they can afford. (There’s a class action lawsuit against Cephalon for this scheme – you can learn more about that lawsuit here)

We think stories like these needs to be heard. You can help us spread the word by "digging" the story here.

Also, tell us your story here!
